The SC/ST/OBC Cell (IQAC) is an important quality-enhancement mechanism in a Mahavidyalaya. It was established with the objective of promoting and sustaining a culture of quality in teaching, learning, research, administration, and extension activities. The IQAC works systematically to improve the overall academic and institutional performance of the college. It collects and analyses feedback from students, teachers, alumni, and other stakeholders to identify areas requiring improvement. The Cell encourages innovative teaching methods, the effective use of information and communication technology, faculty development programmes, seminars, workshops, and research activities. It also maintains proper documentation of institutional practices, achievements, and developmental initiatives. The IQAC prepares and monitors quality benchmarks for various academic and administrative activities and coordinates efforts for their effective implementation. It assists the institution in preparing the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) and supports the college in meeting the quality parameters prescribed by regulatory and accreditation agencies. Regular meetings of the IQAC help in reviewing institutional progress and planning future activities. Through continuous assessment, feedback, documentation, and corrective measures, the IQAC contributes significantly to institutional development. It also promotes a learner-centric environment that encourages academic excellence, discipline, inclusiveness, and holistic development of students. Thus, the SC/ST/OBC Cell serves as a vital component of the Mahavidyalaya, ensuring continuous improvement, accountability, transparency, and the attainment of higher standards of quality in all spheres of institutional functioning.
